So, they say these things project all this negativity and doubts onto you. The narcissist is hoping that you believe these lies and claim them as your truth. Because at the end of the day, they do not want you to be happy. They don’t want you to be loved. So, these statements are to break you and make you lose hope.
Other things they would say would be things such as, “You have messed a good thing up.” You don’t appreciate me. You don’t listen to me. You don’t respect me. You are not a good partner. You are not a real man. You are a whore. Basically, any derogatory term they can place on you, they will. But again, it is all projection as they are the ones who do not appreciate what others do for them.
They are the ones who tend to be very disrespectful. They are the ones who are whoring but not accusing you. They are manipulative users who make bad partners but make you feel like you are the problem.
Narcissists are some of the most manipulative, deceptive, and toxic people you will ever meet. But they are good at gaslighting and projecting all their negative issues onto others. Because when a narcissist has access to your life, whether they are your parent, child, partner, boss, friend, etc., they will abuse their position. They will abuse the authority they have or the trust that you have initially placed in them. They will build you up one day and then tear you down the next. But you must never accept anything the narrator says as gospel. You shouldn’t ever give them that power to speak into your life.
