Narcissists never want to admit that they’ve made a mistake or done something wrong in the past. If there’s something they did wrong in their past, they’ll twist things around so that it sounds like it was someone else’s fault or change the story entirely so it never happened. Narcissists always find a way to blame someone else instead. They often have an overly idealized view of themselves and try to present themselves as perfect. This includes creating an image of themselves as the perfect partner, which usually means that they had no problems in past relationships and everyone else was at fault for any issues that arose.

Narcissists are not the kind of people you can trust. They often lie about who they really are to hide their inflated sense of self-importance, their need for constant admiration and praise, and their inability to empathize with others. They may believe their own lies and be completely unaware of their narcissistic tendencies. Narcissists are full of themselves, but a better way to describe them is that they are empty inside. They have no real sense of self, so they try to fill the void with attention and approval from others.
