Number 2: They won’t learn from their mistakes.
Failure is arguably the greatest teacher in the world. When you mess up, your brain does so much behind the scenes, from cataloging it for future reference to trying to solve how to avoid that outcome in the future. It’s part of the reason why people mature as they get older, and why life experience can mean so much. Unfortunately, this is another aspect of life that sociopaths typically miss out on, and it can have some serious consequences. Sociopaths will often express frustration over feeling like they are hitting a wall time and time again, unaware that they may need to change their approach. Progress can come slowly as a result, and they simply lack the self-reflection needed to correct their mentality.
Number 1: They respond physically to confrontation.
At their worst, a sociopath can respond aggressively to small conflicts or issues. These sociopaths also tend to show traits of manipulation and so may try to initiate a physical altercation in order to take back control of the situation. Unlike when a normal group of people argue in the hopes of reaching a resolution, a sociopath argues in order to “win”. What this means is that they will sometimes become aggressive, to the point of threatening physical violence or even actually becoming physical to get you to back down. This is a problem for everyone, including the sociopath, as they do not realize that this isn’t something they can get away with, and something that will have pretty heavy consequences in the future.
