Narcissists enjoy testing boundaries, including seeing if you’ll chase them after a breakup. They may disappear temporarily, then reappear with dramatic gestures to manipulate your emotions.
By refusing to chase them, you undermine their sense of importance, which often prompts them to return in an attempt to regain your attention.
