You have the gift of abstract thinking. Unlike the narcissist, who is stuck in black-and-white thinking, you can see the gray areas—the balance between good and bad. This gives you an advantage, allowing you to think deeply and create solutions beyond surface-level issues. The narcissist, by contrast, is trapped in extremes of idealization or devaluation. For instance, if I mentioned that your “fawn response” in adulthood is tied to your childhood, you would naturally reflect on those patterns. Your abstract thinking allows you to go beyond surface-level reactions and dig deeper into the roots of problems.
Number four: Soul Understanding.
This is perhaps your most beautiful gift—the ability to understand the soul. Beyond sympathy and empathy, you can connect with someone on a soul level. You may sense the sadness or insecurity beneath the surface, even when someone pretends to be confident or happy. Recently, I met someone who appeared bold and confident, but I sensed an inner shakiness. When I gently mentioned it, they were silent, and their body physically reacted. You have this ability to tap into others’ souls and feel the truth beyond the mask.
