They will always make moves opposite to you, doing things to trigger a reaction so they can cry wolf and say you are the monster. They’ll never do anything to support you but always support themselves and their agenda—to cause you trouble. They claim to be your partner, your supporter, your well-wisher, but they turn out to be your biggest foe.
4. They Will Isolate You and Then Blame You
After isolating you, they’ll blame you, saying, “See? We don’t have anyone anymore, and it’s all because of you.” They’ll claim it’s due to your personality, your “crazy” nature, that no one wants to visit or spend time with you. They’ll project their mess and isolation tactics onto you and refuse to take responsibility for it. They are the ones who caused the isolation—cutting off your friends, shutting down your family—yet they punish you for the very problem they created.
5. A Narcissist Will Convince You to Quit Your Job, Then Blame You
Lastly, a narcissist will convince you to quit your job, promising they will take care of your financial needs, but later, they will blame you for being unemployed. They will call you a burden, a liability, someone who drains the family resources. They’ll say, “You contribute nothing.” But you’ll remind them, “You were the one who encouraged me to stay home and take care of things while you earned.” They won’t talk about that. “Oh, that’s in the past,” they’ll say, “let’s talk about now.”
