While jealousy is a common human emotion, covert narcissists experience it to an extreme degree. They often believe they are superior to others and feel resentful when someone else outshines them. This leads them to downplay the accomplishments of others, as they feel threatened by anyone who possesses what they believe they deserve—wealth, power, success, or popularity.
3. Holding Grudges
Narcissists are known for holding grudges, often against anyone who does not shower them with constant praise. They may remain silent about their feelings but could be harboring intense resentment inside. This inability to forgive stems from their inflated self-regard.
