2. “I was teaching them a lesson.”
I don’t get off on being unkind; I was only trying to show the person I hurt how wrong their behavior was or how their information was incorrect. Sometimes lessons need to be harsh so that the message is fully understood. One day they’ll thank me.
3. “I’m not responsible for what happened.”
Whenever something bad happens, I don’t believe that it’s my fault. I’m not responsible when things go wrong. If the opposite occurs and things go right, then I’ll flip the script and claim my praise.
4. “I don’t make mistakes.”
Mistakes are for people who don’t know what they’re doing, and I always come prepared. If I made mistakes, then I wouldn’t be perfect. I need to have a false sense of perfection in place so I’m not reminded of how scared and insecure I really am.
5. “I’m not expecting any special treatment.”
