3. They Become Filled with Hatred and Contempt Towards Others
Narcissists refuse to accept their aging. They view old age as an injustice, a curse they don’t deserve. This jealousy extends even to their own children. I personally witnessed my father becoming jealous of my growth as he grew weaker in his 50s. Narcissists cannot accept the truth that they are subject to the same human condition as everyone else. While most people become kinder with age, narcissists grow more hateful, easily triggered by the smallest things, no longer able to hide their true, devilish nature.
4. They Become Extremely Paranoid
As their paranoia intensifies, narcissists begin to project their inner turmoil onto others. Even if you’re the only person willing to take care of them, they’ll accuse you of trying to harm them. They make bizarre claims without any evidence, convinced that their delusions are the truth. They may say the entire world is conspiring against them, from their family to the government. Their paranoia worsens with age, and they fight for things that never happened, creating a toxic atmosphere around them.
5. They Become Extremely Impatient and Antisocial
Narcissists are naturally impatient, but they conceal it well when they’re younger. However, as they age, their entitlement and grandiosity take over. They no longer care about social norms and demand special treatment, expecting others to yield to their whims. Standing in a queue? They’ll cut in line and expect you to give up your spot. Their thin veneer of fake patience disappears entirely, and one small mistake will trigger a tantrum. They yell, scream, and curse, making life unbearable for those around them.
