Losing Narcissistic Supply
Another major fear of narcissists and their flying monkeys is losing their narcissistic supply. They require constant attention, praise, and affirmation to maintain their inflated sense of self-importance. Without this supply, their facade begins to crumble.
To a narcissist, losing this supply is akin to an addict losing access to their drug of choice. It can lead to extreme emotional instability, toxic behavior, and even attempts to manipulate or harm others in order to regain control.
