On the fourth level, we find material possessions—luxury goods. A male narcissist might flaunt his status by driving expensive cars. Now, not everyone who drives a fancy car is a narcissist, but for them, it’s about their love for status. A female narcissist, on the other hand, might value jewelry, clothes, and how she looks in public. These material items come before you in their hierarchy because they reinforce the narcissist’s image in society.

Firearms and Weapons: Tools of Control

The fifth level is reserved for firearms and weapons. Male narcissists, in particular, might acquire weapons—legally or illegally—as a means to control others. They use these weapons to intimidate and silence you when they feel threatened in a relationship. Owning weapons gives them a fake sense of confidence and invincibility, reinforcing their belief in their superiority.

Pets: The Animalistic Supply

On the sixth level are their pets. Whether it’s a submissive dog, a subservient cat, or even an expensive horse, narcissists love the supply they get from these animals. I call this “animalistic supply.” Unfortunately, these sentient beings are often mistreated, yet they provide the narcissist with unconditional attention. Narcissists may treat their pets better than they treat you because animals don’t challenge them and always seek their owner’s approval. In some cases, an expensive pet may be used as a status symbol to flaunt their wealth and grandiosity.
