Narcissists believe they are entitled to everything. They think the world revolves around them and that everyone else is just an accessory to their greatness. When you set boundaries, you throw that belief into the trash. You say, “No, you don’t get to have everything you want—not from me.”
Every time you stand firm, you challenge their entitlement. You poke a hole in the inflated bubble they’ve built around themselves, leaving them disoriented, angry, and frustrated.

Narcissists are like puppeteers, obsessed with control. They want to pull every string and make you dance to their tune. But when you start setting boundaries, you cut those strings one by one. You stop letting them dictate your actions, and that drives them crazy.
They feel vulnerable and like they’re losing the game they’ve played all their lives. Their reaction? They’ll fight it tooth and nail, trying to manipulate you back into compliance.

Every time you push back, you expose their deepest fear: that they are not as grand as they pretend to be. They’ll try to maintain the illusion, but deep down, they’re rattled.

Narcissists are emotional vampires; they feed off your reactions. But when you set boundaries, you take away their power. Every time you stand firm and refuse to react as they expect, you rob them of the emotional energy they depend on.
They don’t know how to handle it. When you hold your ground, they’re left powerless, like trying to catch a butterfly with bare hands—frustrating and impossible.
