A narcissist’s hunger for control will always keep them on the prowl for more victims to manipulate, abuse, and control.

In conclusion, we see that the narcissist has a dilemma: although your very existence bothers them, they still need you around. Narcissists are consumed with envy, hatred, and anger. They despise those who are genuinely happy and empathetic. They know they are different, but instead of admitting that they are the ones who need help, they prefer to think that everyone else is the problem. They see others as defective and good for nothing more than to be manipulated, deceived, and abused.
They manipulate, lie, and cheat for their own entertainment. They are convinced that others, especially those with empathy, are their toys—puppets they can manipulate as they choose. They understand that without their mask or fake image, they would not be able to attract anyone to fall in love with them or be used by them.
As a result, in many situations, it is our love for these narcissists that keeps us bound to them and sometimes blinds us to accepting the narcissist for who they truly are. So, although the narcissist really hates and despises you, because they do not discard you, you may think they must care for you. But they don’t. All they want is their narcissistic supply, to control you, and to prevent you from ever being truly happy.
