Narcissists are emotionally locked at the developmental level of a three-year-old, and as a result, they lack the most fundamental ability to care about other people’s feelings, wants, and viewpoints. However, as adults, their manipulative abilities are unrivaled.
The narcissist may appear to be a tragically sympathetic creature at first look. But there’s a catch, and it’s a major one: narcissists are pathologically greedy and frequently brutal.
Narcissism’s Pathology: Overt and Covert
Those that suffer from NPD aren’t merely more self-centered than the rest of us. They are, in reality, extremely lacking in or completely devoid of empathy, and as a result, they are capable of committing horrific moral and legal crimes, all in the name of propping up the larger-than-life false self they have created to replace their emotions of intrinsic worthlessness.
