My Best Advice
If you want to avoid becoming involved with someone with untreated BPD, slow things down. Don’t just say you want to slow down, actually take a step back. Spend more time with friends, family, or doing things you’re passionate about without her. With a well-adjusted person, this will lead to a reasonable conversation. However, with someone with BPD, slowing things down may trigger their fears of abandonment, leading them to either pull away abruptly or escalate the relationship. Pay attention to how she reacts and take your time to evaluate whether the relationship is healthy for you.
