3 Powerful Signs You’re Dangerous to a Narcissist

This is perhaps the biggest threat to a narcissist. It isn’t just about general education; a narcissist can easily manipulate someone with advanced degrees if that person doesn’t understand psychological games. It’s about having the right knowledge: knowing the law, knowing your rights, and understanding manipulation tactics.

For example, when I went through three years of court battles with a narcissist, I was initially like a lamb entering a courtroom against high-powered attorneys. But seven years later, when he petitioned me again over another issue, I was ready. I knew the law and saw that he had violated our previous agreement. I immediately counter-petitioned. When his lawyers realized what I had done, their entire posture shifted—they realized I wasn’t an easy target anymore.

The same applies when you understand their manipulation tactics. When they try to gaslight you by claiming, “I don’t remember that,” it won’t work, because you know they do.

I experienced a similar situation in a hospital setting with an arrogant psychiatrist who tried talking down to me about my son’s medication. Because I had researched the drugs thoroughly, I countered his points directly, noting the risk of liver damage and questioning the recommendation. He immediately backed down. His tone completely changed because he realized I understood the subject.

When you do your homework and understand both the rules and their psychological games, their tricks no longer work. They can’t pull the wool over your eyes—and that makes you a formidable adversary.
