What does that mean? They know how to put you in a trance—a trance where you lose control over your emotions, thoughts, and life in general. This trance drives you to behave in ways that support them, making you give them what they want from you. How do they induce this trance? Through future faking, lying, gaslighting, and manipulation. They don’t just lie to you; they convince you through brainwashing.
For example, they might repeatedly tell you, “You are a bad person.” They won’t just say it; they will try to prove it by triggering reactions in you that are not congruent with who you are as a person. This will make you believe, “Oh, I must be a bad person.” They appeal to your subconscious, showing you dreams—illusions that feel real.
The mirage created by a narcissist doesn’t just look like water; it feels like water. When you see a mirage in a desert, it seems real, but ultimately, it’s an illusion. When you wake up from that trance, your world collapses.
I mean this literally. I’m not talking metaphorically; I’m saying they actually put you in a psychological trance. They know how to control you through their words, tapping into your subconscious mind and using your traumatic beliefs against you.
If you have experienced childhood trauma and believe you are not good enough, they know how to exploit that belief, making you do things you may not otherwise do, like pleasing them or trying harder to fix situations. You always feel, “I’m not good enough, so I must be the problem.”
They trigger your vulnerabilities and manipulate the situation. Do they understand this as I am explaining it? Not necessarily. It’s in their nature. They possess a predatory intuition; they can read emotions, vulnerabilities, and beliefs just by observing and interacting with you.
Now, this requires a high degree of malice that you do not have in your heart. Everyone has a bit of darkness and light, but not to this extent. If someone becomes as evil as this, then there is no humanity left in them, as I see it. They can stoop this low, making it an evil super talent you can never have.
