They anticipate arguments and conflicts, which they expertly manufacture to maintain control. However, the stoic empath’s quiet departure creates an unbearable vacuum. Without the emotional supply they rely upon, narcissists spiral into confusion and desperation. Their usual tactics—guilt-tripping, gaslighting, charming others, or rage—bounce off the stoic empath’s composed exterior, leaving them feeling utterly powerless.
