The Spirit of Fear:
The spirit of fear weighs heavy on a narcissist. Behind their false bravado is a scared, immature child who can’t function well in life. Although they come across as fearless, it’s actually just a facade they erect to get others to think they have confidence where there is none. They carry intense shame that they cover up and look for targets who are insecure and easy to manipulate to give the appearance of courage, but the truth is they are riddled with fear. That’s why they try so hard to control and manipulate you.
So, my friend, what do you do?
- Avoid such people: The command can be summed up well in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
