The last one: in the car. Of all the places a narcissist loves to abuse you, the car is often their absolute favorite. Why? Because inside a moving vehicle, they have 100% control, and you are literally held captive.
You’re strapped into a metal box moving at 70 miles per hour. You have absolutely nowhere to go. No doors you can safely open. And nobody on the outside can hear what is really happening to you.
The moment these doors lock, the mask completely comes off. They will start screaming directly in your face. They will call you terrible names. And very often, they will use the car itself as a physical weapon to terrify you. They will speed dangerously close to other cars, drive recklessly, or slam on the brakes so hard that you fly against the seatbelt.
You’re sitting there gripping the door handle, completely terrified for your actual life, while they just smirk or yell louder. That is not just them losing their temper. That is a highly calculated warning. They’re actively teaching you a brutal lesson. They are saying, “This is exactly what happens when you dare challenge me.
