5 Things a Narcissist does when they’re alone
In one of their most disgusting behaviors, they will break all rules and breach your privacy by searching through your private journals. They want to know what you are writing about and how you are feeling so they can weaponize that information to abuse you further.
If they have stealing tendencies, they will take your money, steal jewelry, or even destroy your personal items. If you are a woman married to or in a relationship with a male narcissist, they might destroy your clothes—this is something that actually happens. They will tear them apart or cut them down the middle, and when you return home to that chaos and mess, they will gaslight you. They’ll say, “Oh, you’re making things up. It was already like that,” or “You never had that money, what are you talking about? I never did that.”

Going through your stuff isn’t just about theft; it’s about instilling fear and making you feel extremely vulnerable and unsafe in your own space so you remain in a terrorized state, making you easier to abuse. If they go through your computer, phone, diaries, and text messages, you naturally become paranoid and deeply hurt. But because of plausible deniability, there is often no concrete proof—so, to the narcissist, it never happened. They are pathological liars; no matter how much discomfort you express over their spying, they will never accept fault and will fight you to their last breath.
