This is when they start finding terrible faults—somehow faults they never had a problem with before. They place you under a massive critical microscope, and every single thing you do is suddenly wrong—magnified.

Suddenly you’re labeled as “too emotional.” They tell you that you complain way too much. They decide your family is a massive problem. They stare at you coldly and say your personality has completely changed—that you’re just too difficult to live with.
