I’ve observed this dynamic in many relationships, including my parents’. My father, a covert narcissist, mimicked my mother’s sophisticated demeanor, vocabulary, and parenting methods. However, his attempts were superficial and lacked authenticity.
Conclusion
Ultimately, no matter how much a narcissistic man tries to embody the traits of the woman he envies, he fails. His efforts lack authenticity because these qualities aren’t inherently his. Personality theft is merely a coping mechanism to mask insecurity and achieve a false sense of accomplishment.
