Proof Narcissists Hate Their Children (My Lived Experience)
The root of this cruelty is chilling, and most people struggle to accept it: a narcissist simply lacks the biological wiring for parental empathy.
In a healthy human being, when your child is in agony, your own nervous system registers the pain. When a loving parent makes a mistake and realizes their child suffered because of their actions, they experience visceral, gut-wrenching remorse, guilt, and heartache. That invisible bond links a loving parent’s heart directly to the heart of their child.
With a narcissist, that cord was severed long ago. They do not perceive their child as someone whose internal pain matters. When their child cries, bleeds, or breaks under the weight of something the narcissist did, the narcissist does not feel grief or remorse. They feel pure irritation. They roll their eyes, cross their arms, and treat your tears like an inconvenient oil leak on their clean driveway.

To a narcissist, a child is not a sacred life to be protected; a child is just another household appliance. You are an object they live with, manage, control, and exploit for utility. If an old radio in the corner begins emitting static, you don’t comfort it—you hit it on top or throw a blanket over it so you don’t have to listen to it. That is how a narcissist views your suffering.
