5 Insane Things Only a Narcissist Does.
I always say: if you need to recognize a narcissist, focus on their behaviors. Then try to connect the dots so you can see the patterns because narcissists do insane, crazy, and beyond unacceptable things. These things are so destructive, and only someone who’s rotten to their soul—to their core—can do them.
Number One
They will get angry at you for being angry at them—even when your anger is righteous and valid, even when they’ve done something terribly wrong to hurt you.
They won’t look at their behavior. They will only focus on your reaction: to call you “crazy,” to call you “irritating,” and to make it seem like you’re attacking them.
They are entitled beings who just want to get away with their actions. They’re used to avoiding consequences. They don’t want to face consequences. That’s part of their grandiosity—they think you should give them permission to treat you however they want and do whatever they want. That is their code of living.
When you try to ask them questions, and when you try to be rightfully angry, they go crazy. They lose it. They never validate your anger. They never hold space for your emotions.
Everything that comes out of your mouth is perceived as criticism, and they feel you are attacking them. This is how it gets translated in their “crazy” mind—even when they’ve done something terribly wrong.
They take no responsibility at all. They don’t see their actions through your eyes. They don’t let insight in, and they don’t let insight guide their behavior or their decision-making. Instead, they attack you back. They retaliate. They try to destroy you because you are attacking their false self.
You’re not supposed to focus on their mistakes. You’re supposed to idealize them. You’re supposed to just tolerate them.
How dare you ask them questions?
