- Highlighting the Woman’s Strengths: He chooses a woman who is far above him in capability and standing, using her as a source of supply.
- Becoming Like Her: Through imitation, he tries to embody her strengths and successes.
The Impact of Personality Theft on Victims
Personality theft is intrusive and destabilizing. Victims often feel confused when they notice their partner adopting behaviors, preferences, and even mannerisms identical to their own. For example, some women report their partners start dressing similarly, liking the same colors, or even buying identical items. The narcissist may gaslight them into thinking it’s an expression of love and admiration, but in reality, it’s rooted in jealousy and a desire to compete.
