Suddenly, the fact that you want basic communication makes you seem needy. Your request for respect is labeled as demanding or controlling. They start to weaponize your best traits against you.

If you’re empathetic, they call you too sensitive. If you’re reliable, they call you boring. This isn’t just a change in mood. It’s a psychological deconstruction of your character. They detach emotionally but continue to drain your resources like a parasite that hates the host it’s feeding on. They create a deliberate imbalance where you are doing 100% of the work while they provide 0% of the value—yet they make you feel like you are the one failing.
