5 Reasons Why a Narcissist Likes It When You Lose It
Narcissists love to paint a bad picture of you in front of others. Let’s say they want to create fake evidence against you. They’ll provoke a fight and record your reaction, without your consent, of course. They’ll store it and present it in court or to others, showing only one side of the story. While recording, they stay calm and watch you lose control, but they never document their attempts to trigger you. Unfortunately, the legal system and others who don’t understand narcissistic abuse often believe their version, causing you to lose not just financially, but also emotionally, psychologically, and sometimes physically.
By projecting a false image of you, they also get to play the victim. They’ll show the recording to a new source of supply, saying, “Look how I’m being treated!” This creates unnecessary animosity because the new person is fooled into thinking you’re the problem when the real issue is the narcissist.
