Unmasking The Narcissist Without Saying a Word
Because here’s what a lot of people don’t get: sometimes the narcissist isn’t getting away with it because they’re so brilliant. They’re getting away with it because everyone around them is constantly ignoring and minimizing, covering, explaining, rescuing, denying—in other words, enabling.
And if you step out of the role of enabler, their behavior becomes much more visible. They’ll lie. They’ll manipulate. They’ll exploit. They’ll contradict themselves. And when you stop getting in the way of all of that, people finally get to have their own experience, gather their own data, and once people see it, they can’t unsee it—unless they’re choosing willful ignorance because it serves them.
And again, you can’t control that. But you can stop trying to make people see something they have a vested interest in not seeing.
Which ties directly to number four: Stop trying to prove who they are.
And I get it. You’ve been waiting for a long time for the moment where everyone finally says, “Oh my God, you were so right.” You want validation, vindication, and frankly, relief. I completely understand.
But the more you campaign, the more you’re the one who looks like the problem—not because you’re wrong, but because the dysfunctional system is rigged.
Every screenshot you send, every long explanation, every frantic attempt to prove you’re sane—can and will be repackaged as evidence that you’re obsessed, unhinged, always so dramatic, and of course, the malicious, bitter, vindictive one.
And suddenly, instead of them being seen for who and what they are, you’re being scrutinized, misjudged, and blamed.
So here’s the new standard I want you to live by: Tell the truth where the truth actually needs to be told. Document what needs to be documented. Protect yourself where you need to protect yourself—always.
But stop trying to convince people to finally believe you, because your emotional and psychological freedom cannot be dependent on whether or not other people believe your version of what happened.
That one concept alone can change your life.
Which brings us to number five: Stop managing their reputation.
