What Narcissists Do When You’re Too Tough to Control, Manipulate, and Dominate

Ultimately, developing healthy boundaries boils down to doing your personal healing and recovery work so thoroughly that you’re able to sustain strong boundaries consistently—not as a performance, but as an identity, an energetic reality. In other words, it’s not simply about announcing your boundaries and hoping they’ll respect them. It’s about becoming so deeply resourced, so strong and clear within yourself, that there’s simply nothing for a boundary violation or a toxic person to attach to.

Now, that is strength and power. And it’s precisely what I teach every day in the Freedom Class.

In addition, as I said before, you want to strengthen your support network. Reach out to safe, healthy friends and family members, a qualified therapist, a coach, or a counselor for help. You don’t have to navigate this alone or without support. Having the right people in your corner, especially during difficult moments or seasons, makes all the difference.

If narcissistic abuse is a repeating pattern in your life, you don’t have to navigate it alone. You also want to get about the business of doing your personal healing and recovery work so you can heal for real and break free from the subconscious programming that’s driving this subconscious, magnetic relationship pattern in the first place.

Having a strong support system in place can provide you with the emotional support you need to withstand the narcissist’s tactics in a healthy, emotionally intelligent, and boundaried way. It can also help you give yourself what you need to make real progress in your healing and recovery journey.

The bottom line is that you have the capacity to overcome narcissistic abuse and heal from its effects. But that doesn’t happen by accident. You actually have to do the work.

Here’s the thing: Your strength, empathy, and resilience are powerful assets that narcissistic types will try to diminish if they think they can get away with it. So, stay true to yourself, learn to set healthy limits and boundaries, seek specialized support, and focus on your personal healing and recovery.

You deserve to live a life filled with love, kindness, compassion, and respect—a life filled with joy, purpose, and abundance. It’s time. Now that you know what narcissists do when they think you’re too tough to control, manipulate, and dominate.
